2020 Graduates

We are excited to be able to host in-person commencement ceremonies for the class of 2020 (May, August & December graduates). The ceremonies will be campus-wide, and not separated by college or school. All ceremonies will be live streamed. The schedule is below.

Grads must RSVP to participate and to receive tickets for six guests that will be in one pod, socially distanced from other guests. Details about tickets are available on the Tickets & Venue Information page.

Ceremonies are first-come, first-served. Graduates will choose a ceremony to attend on the RSVP form. All available ceremonies will be displayed. Due to social distancing restrictions, we will not be able to add seats to any ceremony. The RSVP form may only be submitted once so grads should finalize plans before submitting the form. The deadline is April 22 at 5 p.m.

2020 Commencement FAQ

Will the graduate and professional degree ceremony include hooding of graduates?

To maintain social distancing, there will be no hooding ceremonies. Graduates may not approach the platform party to shake hands or otherwise receive congratulations. If there are materials for graduates to receive, they will pick up items from a table.

On the RSVP form, I’ve selected my degree level ceremony (undergraduate/graduate), but no ceremony times are displaying. What should I do?

You’ll need to clear your browser cache and close your browser, then try again. We’ve found that the form works best using the Google Chrome browser.

Can I change which ceremony I RSVP’d for?
Once you’ve submitted your RSVP form, your registration is final and cannot be changed. Please make your decision carefully and do not submit your RSVP form until you’re ready.

I have RSVP’d, but I can’t remember the details. How do I find out?
When you submitted your RSVP form, you received an email in your MU (UM) email account from the MU Provost confirming your reservation. If it’s not in your inbox, please check your junk/spam and trash folders.

I’m a guest of a 2020 graduate. How do I find out which ceremony my graduate is registered for?
Please check with your grad to see which ceremony they have registered for.

Why don’t I see all the ceremony times listed on the RSVP form?

For everyone’s safety, each ceremony has a limited number of seats available. Once a ceremony is full, it will no longer show up on the RSVP form. Ceremony times marked with an asterisk* on the schedule below will only show up on the RSVP form if all other ceremony times have already filled up.

For more information about all the ceremonies, see the About the Events page. Ticket details are available on the Tickets & Venue Information page. Don’t see your question answered above? Check our Frequently Asked Questions page.

White background with a “I’m a Mizzou Grad” in text. To the right of the text is a hand drawn gold bubble “Mizzou” and black “Made” stacked underneath it. The 'o' in the Mizzou has a graduation cap with confetti shooting out. The bottom looks like a ripped gold page with a half tone dotted pattern covering half of it.
