Your guide to preparing for the December 2020 #MizzouMade Virtual Graduation Celebration:
2 Weeks Before (Week of Nov. 30)
- Design a fun electronic invite to send to family and friends to join you for a video call
- Schedule your video call via Facebook Messenger Rooms, Google Hangout, Zoom, or Facetime
- Dig through your photo albums/digital archives to pull out your favorite photos of your graduate from childhood and their time at Mizzou
- Use all those photos to create a slide show
- Create a Facebook Event to invite friends and family, and share the slide show
- Plan your celebration menu
- Use our toolkit to download the Mizzou Made graphic and order a specialty graduation cake from your favorite bakery
- Check out The Mizzou Store to make online gift purchases for your graduate
- Order a yard sign from The Mizzou Store or download one so everyone knows your celebrating
1 Week Before (Week of Dec. 7)
- Schedule your grocery pickup/delivery order for the celebration day
- Create a music playlist & don’t forget the Alma Mater or Eye of the Tiger
- Plan games or activities to do on the video call — consider finding out how well everyone knows the Graduate
- Order black and gold balloons or flowers for your graduate
- Print signs and banners to decorate with
- Send a reminder to family and friends of your video call
Day-of (Dec. 18)
- Check your technology for your video call
- Decorate your home for the celebration with balloons, flowers, printable signs, banners and photos!
- Prepare your favorite party recipes
- Turn on your celebration playlist
- Quiz your guests to see who knows the graduate best
- Celebrate your 2020 graduate virtually with the entire Mizzou community!
- Share photos of your celebration on social media with #MizzouMade
